NITE-209 and NITE-213 Timer Reset Instructions

  1. To do a hard timer reset, press a pen into the reset button for 3 seconds until the screen is blank. You can use any object with a small tip (paper clip).
  2. Upon releasing the button, the screen should show 12:00 with the hour ‘flashing’.

Set Current Time

  1. Turn the dial to the correct hour. Be sure to check the setting for AM or PM.
  2. Press ‘ok’ to continue and set the minutes.
  3. ‘Minutes’ will flash – turn the dial to desired minute, press ‘ok’ to move to the next step.

Set Date, Location, and Time Zone

  1. ‘Year’ will flash first. Turn dial to correct year. Press ‘ok’. Repeat this step for ‘month’ and ‘date’. Press ‘ok’ to continue to Daylight Savings Time.
  2. Both ‘Daylight Savings Time’ (DST) and ‘AUTO’ should flash in the top left corner. Press ‘ok’ to accept this setting and continue to when DST starts and ends.
  3. Set ‘month’ and ‘week’ to start daylight savings time (DST) using the dial. Most of this information is already present. Press ‘ok’ to continue to set when DST ends.
  4. Again, this information is usually present. If incorrect, you can change the settings using the dial. Set ‘month’ and ‘week’ to end DST. Press ‘ok’ to begin location settings.
  5. Turn the dial to set your ‘country’. Press ‘ok’.
  6. Turn the dial to choose your ‘state’. Press ‘ok’.
  7. Choose your location within the state using the dial. (N, S, E, W, etc.) Press ‘ok’.
  8. Choose your ‘time zone’ using the dial. Press ‘ok’.
  9. ‘Dawn’ time will be flashing. This is the time determined by the astronomical settings based on the location and state you are in. If this is incorrect, it can be adjusted using the dial. Press ‘ok’ to accept. NOTE: This step needs to be completed even if your lights do not stay on until dawn.
  10. ‘Dusk’ time will flash. This is the time determined by the astronomical settings based on the location and state you are in. If this is incorrect, it can be adjusted using the dial. Press ‘ok’ to return to the home screen and begin programming instructions. NOTE: This step needs to be completed even if your lights do not come on at dusk.

Program to Turn On at Dusk

  1. Press ‘program’ button. Event ‘01’ will flash. Press ‘program’ button until the words at the top of the screen flash.
  2. Using the dial, spin until ‘on’ and ‘dusk’ are displayed and flashing on the top. ‘Dusk’ will also be displayed in the center in large letters.
  3. Press ‘program’ to continue to set the days you want the lights to turn on at dusk.
  4. At the bottom, each day of the week will flash. Turn dial to adjust more or less days (MO, TU, WE, TH, FR, SA, SU). Once you have chosen the days, press ‘program’ to continue to set the off time. Event ’02’ should be flashing. Press ‘program’.

Program to Turn Off at Dawn

  1. Turn dial until ‘off’ and ‘dawn’ are present at the top of the screen. ‘Dawn’ will also be present in the center in large letters.
  2. Press ‘program’ to continue to set the days you want the lights to turn off at dawn.
  3. At the bottom, each day of the week will flash. Turn dial to adjust more or less days (MO, TU, WE, TH, FR, SA, SU). Once you have chosen the days, press the ‘ok’ button to confirm the settings.

Program Lights to Turn On/Off at Specific Times

  1. Turn dial until the ‘off’ appears at the top of the screen and a time (usually 12:00am) appears in the center in large letters. NOTE: It does not matter what time is showing, that will be changed in a later step.
  2. Press ‘program’ to continue to set which days you would like this setting to apply.
  3. At the bottom, each day of the week will flash. Turn dial to adjust more or less days (MO, TU, WE, TH, FR, SA, SU). NOTE: If you chose to turn your lights off at a certain time: Press ‘program’. The clock will show on the screen with the hour flashing. Use the dial to choose the hour the lights should turn off. Repeat to set the minute.
  4. Press ‘ok’ to save your settings.
  5. You are now on the home screen. Please ensure that ‘auto’ is showing on the screen. If it is not, press the ‘mode’ button until it does. This enables your settings.

Set Date & Time

  1. To start a hard timer reset, hold Mode + Enter and use the Up and Down Arrows to adjust time and date. Press Enter to confirm each setting before continuing.

Set Location

  1. Hold Up + Down Arrows and use the Up and Down Arrows to adjust the location number to the correct number. Refer to the table below. Press Enter.

Option 1 – Mode: On & Off

  1. Press Mode. Select ON and press Enter. This is the ‘always on’ mode.
  2. Press Mode. Select OFF and press Enter. This is the ‘always off’ mode.

Option 2 – Mode: Auto (Photocell)

Photocell (detects light and dark) – this allows a working mode that automatically turns on at dusk / off at dawn or a specific time.

  1. Press Mode. Select ‘Auto’ and press Enter.
  2. Option 1: Press Enter to go off at dawn. The time will be blank and show a rising sun icon.
  3. Option 2: Using the Up and Down Arrows, select specific time off and press Enter (2x).

Option 3 – Mode: Timer

  1. Press Mode. Select ‘timer’ and press Enter. Using the Up and Down Arrows, select specific time on and press Enter (2x).
  2. Using the Up and Down Arrows, select specific time off and press Enter (2x).

Option 4 – Mode: Astro (Location based Dusk & Dawn)

  1. Press Mode. Select ‘Astro’ and press Enter.
  2. Start at dusk or 10-50 minutes advanced (+) or delayed (-) to actual sunset. Press Enter.
  3. Option 1: Press Enter to go off at dawn. The time will be blank and show a rising sun icon.
  4. Option 2: Using the Up and Down Arrows, select specific time off. Press Enter (2x).
