All over the country, people are preparing for the annual Light the Night walk. Rob Greening, the owner of NiteLites of Houston LED Lighting, is the Walk Captain and is sponsoring a team during two different walks in the Houston area to help this important cause:
Houston, TX Downtown Saturday, November 10th Discovery Green Park-Jones Lawn 1500 McKinney | Montgomery County, TX Sunday, October 21st Market Street in The Woodlands 9595 Six Pines Drive |
This is an organized walk dedicated to raising funds for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society for their research of blood cancers. According to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s Light the Night website, “Funds raised by teams and individual walkers provide: Lifesaving blood cancer research, free educational materials and events for patients and their families, local programs such as Family Support Groups and First Connection, a peer-to-peer counseling program, and comprehensive, personalized assistance through our Information Resource Center.”
Mr. Greening was recently awarded the Rising Star Rotary International for Service Above Self 2012 award, and he is also the co-chair for the CERT Rodeo for 2013.
